Had lovely stay at The Bird in Bath. Nice size room, friendly staff, very clean and lovely food. The hotel has recently been renovated so it's very clean and fresh. The staff are lovely, very warm and welcoming. My room was well equipped and a good size. The coffee machine in the bedroom was a nice addition. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and crooked fresh. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a really lovely hotel made even more special by the fab staff who go out of their way to help, nothing is too much trouble. Parking is an added bonus. There are improvements still being made which will only enhance the hotel. There isn't a lift and there are a lot of stairs so if mobility is a problem I would speak to the hotel before booking because if they can accommodate I'm sure they will. The room was very clean lots of towels and products also a kettle and coffee machine hair dryer. Comfy bed and pillows. I had a standard room and it is compact and the door of the ensuite is restricted by the bed but a little thought ensures it's not a problem. Breakfast was excellent and a very good choice of food. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a girls weekend at The Bird last week and we were well taken care of by staff and our rooms were quite cozy. You felt like you were in a bedroom of a manor, more than just a hotel. Angela at the front desk was lovely and very helpful in our stay. We had cars and this was a great location to leave them and walk into the main part of the city. The only drawback was there is no lift so you need to be able to take your luggage up and down the stairs. Please note that staff is usually on the ready to give you a hand.

Room tip: We had a room facing the street and hardly noticed the traffic.

The hotel had lovely decor and great pictures and paints hung on the walls . Are room was clean and comfortable . Staff was helpful and friendly. We had breakfast in the morning which was fantastic and service was outstanding . So were so attentive to our table . Hotel is in a great location . Really close to the town. So it was great that we were able to walk to places that we wanted to visit.

Room tip: We stayed in a room on the top floor at the back of the hotel so was very quiet.

The positives: great location, within walking distance of many tourist attractions, bars and restaurants; commendable standard of cleanliness throughout; friendly staff; delicious, cooked to order breakfast (a wonderful change from questionable buffet style). The negatives: renovations, for some reason, meant the bar downstairs was closed (The reception bar was not an acceptable temporary replacement; the staff were lacking in local knowledge on more than one occasion; our room on the top floor was, at best, small and cosy (really not much room to move around, and we are not large people); absolutely no sound proofing between rooms - we heard every sound from next door including an early morning (1.45. am) arrival by thoughtless, very noisy guests.
This could be a lovely hotel, unfortunately, we shall not be returning, due to the highlighted issues.

Room tip: Not sure, don't go for top floor.
