Have stayed here on numerous occasions, it's decent enough, basic no frills hotel. Rooms are very basic, service can be hit and miss but is generally more hitty than missy. The buffet breakfast is average.

The hotel does a job.

Staff were friendly, but thats about it. Nowhere to park if you just want to quickly check in, the "official" car park is a few hundred yards away. There is a car park right under the hotel but it's nothing to do with Jury's and amazingly people have been FINED for leaving their cars there overnight according to other reviews. What is really annoying is that there are no signs either outside the car park or in the lobby to warn guests of this. Despite the hotel being a new building, the rooms had a very bland faded 90's feel to them. Terrible hard rubbery pillows, deadweight synthetic duvet and hard bed. If you don't stay in hotels very often and you get a good room rate you might be happy, but we paid £109 and could have stayed in a far more comfortable hotel than this.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review.

It is lovely to hear the staff were friendly but I do apologise the pillows and duvets were not to your expectations. Jurys have recently upgraded the pillows and duvets in all hotels with two different types of pillows to choose from. The firmer pillow is placed on the bed and the softer pillow in placed above the wardrobe; there should be a note on the bed to explain this and it clearly was not in your case and I am sorry.

We do have a car park underneath the hotel which is managed by Excel parking, this is displayed as you enter the car park and also on the pay machines in the car park. We do recommend the NCP and Apcoa car park to our guests because we have a discounted rate with both of these car parks for our guests and are able to provide more spaces.

I do hope this has not deterred you from using us again in the future and if you do plan to visit Sheffield again in the future please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to provide you with a free upgrade.

Kindest Regards
Michelle Minshull

Friendly helpful staff. Excellent value had a room with a double bed and a single which allowed early check in at 12.00 for less than £80 a night. Restaurant staff attentive and food quickly served and very good value. Discount also given off food with the type of room we booked.

Smart, clean, good value, helpful no-nonsense city centre hotel. Ten minutes walk from the Peace Gardens, Crucible Theatre, Cathedral etc. and similar distance from the railway station.
(Also 10 minutes from the Leadmill (live music venue) which is where I was headed.)

Hotel will validate your ticket in the NCP car park is 2 minutes away and I paid £4 for overnight parking.

Room was fine although limited choice of TV and wifi is not free.... although you can use free wifi in the bar if you buy a drink.

Good standard buffet breakfast.

We chose this hotel as it was close to O2 academy where we were attending a gig. Parking is just over the road and is offered at the overnight rate of £4.50 for hotel guests as opposed to £11.00 standard user, make sure you get this sorted before you leave. We were in room 711 which was standard Jury's decor, beds comfortable, bathroom and shower ok, only criticism is that the fan in the bathroom couldn't be turned off and emitted continual noise. Reception staff efficient despite the hotel being full due to boxing and various events in the city this weekend. Bar area vibrant and busy. Loved the smoking patio out the back of reception, far better than standing on the busy street outside the hotel amongst the pavement pizza that someone had kindly left! Lifts are operated by key card which made us feel more secure. Breakfast on a Sunday is served between 930-1130 this was no frills, particularly the sausages! But adequate being a buffet that was regularly topped up. We paid £56 for a twin room and £7.50 each for breakfast. In summary clean cheap overnight stay, glad we were on the 7th floor away from late night hubbub of the reception/bar area.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper check the fan in the bathroom it could keep you awake.
