This is one of me and my wife's favourite restuarant in Sheffield. All the food is outstanding, from the always packed belt of sushi rolls to the hot selection available off the menu (ramens, katsus, Japanese tapas selection). The prices are also very reasonable compared to similar places.

They also do takeaway which always turns up very fresh and just as good as eating in the restaurant. Well worth checking out if you fall within their catchment area.

The only criticism Ive ever had of this place and generally do every time we go in is the service. Sometimes you can sit down and be sat for 20 minutes just trying to get a drink and some wasabi before even starting your food. I usually end up going to the bar begging for a drink, very self-aware they probably think I'm being super impatient. A little better table service would seriously ramp this place up to 5 green blobs.

Hi,

Thank-you for taking the time to review Sakushi the more reviews we get means that we can work on ensuring that every aspect of our restaurant and takeaway is just right ! We are happy to hear that you enjoy the meal in the restaurant but just as much at home.

Regarding table service, the management team will be looking into this right away to ensure that this improves as this is not the service we expect any customer to receive. We will be acting upon this immediately so the next time you and your wife visit this should no longer be an issue:)

Once again i would like to thank you for taking the time to review and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

I always order takeaway and get the veg set and a double up of the vegetarian gyoza it’s awesome as I don’t like mushrooms they’re always happy to not put them in. I’ve only had one bad experience and it was the avocado was a bit ripe it was hot weather though. The food is always prepared fresh and the delivery time is usually pretty good.

Visited here for a birthday meal. Food was nice enough but nothing special, not a great selection and feels more like a posh Chinese restaurant. Overpriced. Staff nice enough but no uniform or real WOW factor to the place. However i recommend the peppered squid.

Firstly let me start with the positives the big bowl of ramen was amazing, hot, spicy, lovely crunchy vegetables, juicy prawns it couldn't be faulted. Unfortunately everything else felt like a bit of a let down, served a luke warm beer which at £4 isn't acceptable, the tempura aubergine was basically soggy batter. The biggest disappointment was the lack of soap in the toilet for a food establishment where I had seen chefs enter whilst I was eating is unacceptable. I did raise this when paying the bill and was brushed off with a 'sometimes we run out'

Best sushi I've had in the UK hands down. Mainly 'conveyor' belt based but the chefs will make you any of the dishes fresh if you can't see it/just want a fresh one

Plenty of offers/promos on too which make it even better value
