Staff are all so lovely and polite and service was always with a smile. Unfortunately we found the beds really uncomfortable as if sleeping on blocks of wood, and the duvets were so noisy like paper rustling constantly. The room was very basic, there was no shower caps, no biscuits with the tea and coffee - the little basic things you would expect. A pillow menu would have been very beneficial. Our room service breakfast order wasn't taken from our door, even though we put it out at 8pm (needs to be out before 1am the morning of breakfast) so luckily we woke up and noticed with plenty of time to get our breakfast in bed. Probably won't stay again due to the above but it is a great budget hotel if you need to stop off in reading.

Hi 779jacquelinef,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your visit to the area.

We want to share the happiness of travel with all. I'm sorry that your experience became unsatisfactory due to the issues with the bed, the lacking amenities in the room, and the room service. I have shared your sentiments with the management team for their reference. I trust they'll take the necessary steps to address this and ensure a better stay experience moving forward.

We hope we will have another opportunity to show you the excellent service our hotel brand promises.

My friend and I stayed overnight on a Saturday as we were both on a course.

The hotel room was nice and clean however bathroom was very small.

We were well impressed wth the 3 course dinner in the restaurant …. great menu, very good quality food, presented well too. Breakfast was great too.

The highlight was the Manageress Helen and her team of staff, they were all excellent. Customer service was superb throughout the two days and they were all so engaging too.

Helen had a good rapport with her team and you could see they all enjoy working together as a team too.

Well done to you all …. keep up that great engagement and service with your customers.

I stayed here in December after a Christmas party and not only was that very good, so was the stay. It was value for money and everything I needed. The breakfast was even included and that was well worth it! Staff all very helpful and friendly.

Good stay
Comfortable clean room for the night
The host at breakfast was fab, (the man who takes you to your seats) he called our kids over from reception to give them colouring and made them so happy. 5 stars to him!

We booked this hotel as part of the Legoland deal. Upon arrival we checked in smoothly and quickly, very friendly at reception, the kids received a little colouring pack and a free drink. We collected our key and made our way to our room. The room was great, very clean and tidy, beds were so comfortable. The kids pull out sofa bed was already made on arrival. Room had an iron, kettle, all the usual toiletries, towels and a TV which had a good selection of channels. We received a phone call to the room asking if we had settled into our room and if there was anything that the hotel could do for us. There is a chip shop and Lidl right across from the hotel if you don't fancy eating in the hotel or fancy some snacks like us. Breakfast the next morning was great, it was a help yourself buffet, hot/cold, pastries, fruit, yogurts etc. Special mention the most amazing waiter ( sorry I didn't get his name) you will know when you meet him who I mean, he was fantastic with the kids, gave them some sweets and really made time for them even brought out some pancakes with smiley faces in chocolate sauce to them as a surprise. Thank you ! (We hope your sons piano lessons are going well ) parking is free all you have to do is enter your car reg onto the computer at reception. Legoland was about 30 minutes drive which was OK. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the swimming pool wasn't open but we knew this before we went so wasnt too much of a problem but just incase others expect it to be thought I'd better mention. We kept the fact that we were going to legoland a surprise from the kids and the hotel were brilliant about not letting on so don't worry about that if you wanted to keep it a surprise and were worried the hotel would say. all in all a great stay!
