We recently stayed here for a couple of nights with our 3 children so as to visit friends and Blenheim Palace. We enjoyed our stay very much and thought the breakfast was amazing. There was plenty of choice, the cooked breakfast was tasty and not greasy and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The only reason my husband and myself felt we couldn’t give the hotel 5 stars was because there were areas, especially in our room, which could do with a little freshening such as the bathroom flooring peeling up, bath side cracked, a hole in the bed linen. That being said, we had a lovely couple of nights away.

Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review, we are really pleased you had a successful trip with your family to Woodstock and that you enjoyed your stay at The Marlborough Arms.

We source all the ingredients for our breakfasts, both the continental buffet bar and the hot cooked to order breakfast, locally which ensures they are delicious and from independent suppliers. Thank you for flagging the items relating to your room - our maintenance man has already sorted them.

We hope you visit us again when you are next in the area.

We booked through secret escapes so enjoyed a cream tea and prosecco after arrival which was greatly appreciated. Our room was one of the modern ones but was still cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, received excellent service throughout and would definitely recommend a stay in this quaint and cosy inn.

We were caught in the snow storm and desperate for a room. The Marlborough Arms was a godspent! Beautiful and charming 500 year old hotel, lovely rooms and shower, and great breakfast. The service was so special, look forward to returning!

We loved your review, it was like reading a novel! We are so glad the snow storm sent you in our direction and we were able to give you a room due to others being snowed in.

We very much look forward to welcoming you back one day, maybe in the summer months when we can offer you a chilled glass of prosecco to be enjoyed in our private courtyard, which in the summer months becomes a sun trap.

Had a ground floor room as Stanley, our Miniature Schnauzer joined us. Room great size and nice bathroom, bit dark and would have been nice to have opening window but that's a bit picky. Lovely afternoon tea in front of fire and great full English breakfast. Girl on Reception was very efficient and pleasant. Would thoroughly recommend, very central, good walking around and good hotel, nice that not corporate but quirky in a good way.

This centrally located hotel has very friendly staff and good parking . The room we had was large and despite being on the Main Street the double glazing was quite effective. Though traffic noise is evident however we slept well. The bed was comfortable and spacious . The coffee provided for the espresso machine tasted awful!

The breakfast offerings were quite varied and the cooked breakfast was well cooked and presented. The breakfast coffee was appalling .

If the management fix the coffee problem this would be a great place.

Our deluxe double rooms are all equipped with Flat Screen TVs and Coffee Machines, and with a selection of different strength capsules, we are sorry you couldn't find one to your liking.
