We are about to check out, following a 2 night stay in a lovely, ground floor room in the annexe, which is set in beautiful woodland. It may seem a bit odd staying on a University campus but believe me, it is excellent value for money, clean and comfortable, with lots of little extras that you probably wouldn't expect. Such as bottled water in the fridge, nice toiletries in the bathroom and a very well stocked hospitality tray. The staff cannot do enough for you, I asked for a couple of extra pots of milk, as my husband does love his cuppa and on our return to the room, housekeeping had not only left the extra pots but had also left us a jug of fresh milk in the fridge! The breakfast was outstanding, with an excellent choice of both hot and cold food and I must give a special mention to Antonio, the lovely gentleman who organised our breakfasts. He was very polite, efficient, cheerful and helpful. The bus stop for buses into Oxford was at the bottom of the drive, it takes about 15 minutes to get there and cost £3.70 return, which must be a heck of a lot cheaper than parking the car! All in all, an excellent stay and we would most definitely be happy to stay again when we are next in Oxford.

Room Tip: The location of the annexe is very pretty and tranqui

The 'executive' rooms really are better quality than you might expect for university accommodation, with lots of extras - bottled water, biscuits and various bathroom bits. Breakfast, with a 'waiter' on hand, was pretty good - excellent sausages in particular, big croissants and the yogurts were actually fruit fools. I had to ask a couple of times to be given new towels when the old were taken away, but otherwise the service was excellent. Woodland was lovely, though be aware that there is a fairly constant 'ocean roar' from the nearby trunk road which cannot be seen from the campus but is certainly heard. Saw a deer outside the annexe on our last day. Also the gym, pool table and table tennis are near the annexe and available if not being used by students. which is fair enough. Tip: earlier in the day is best. Finally, it's only 2 miles from Oxford centre and easy to get around. We didn't use the bus service but the stop is right outside the campus.

I don’t know how I found this accommodation whilst trawling around looking for a one night stay in Oxford. However I’m so glad I did. The room was very clean and pleasant with little extras we didn’t expect for university accommodation. Toiletries bottled water tea and coffee making facilities. We had a small problem with our light but this was very quickly sorted by us moving to another room without any fuss. The main building was very pleasant with a lovely outdoor seating area off the bar. Pity as B&B customers we were unable to use the bar. . The breakfast was more than adequate. The cost was less than any of the well known B&B hotel chains and much more comfortable. Our son and family have moved to Poole and us living near Sheffield will definitely use this again to break up our journey south.

Stayed here whilst visiting the University of Oxford on business. Very quiet and very good value for money. Staff all very friendly and all well equipped. However, it is a bit isolated with the nearest pubs about a mile away and no facilities for meals at night on site. Stayed in annex with no sign of anyone else at all which felt a bit odd. Breakfast was in a room that felt like a classroom with a breakfast counter - and had to walk past course participants with a nicer looking breakfast location and choice. Great for a cheap overnight stay and very quiet, but very much felt the business is at the margin of the core activity of delivering exec education.

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Egrove Park. The B&B guests are offered the same comprehensive breakfast in The Nautilus Dining Room as the course participants you mention as well as all enjoying the same executive style bedrooms.

As you say we are a great alternative to a hotel and very reasonably priced. We take your point about the annexe - which I must say always looks beautiful in the spring and summer months. We would love to welcome you back then.
Thank you for choosing Egrove Park

Drove to the Hotel which is located next to the Oxford Said Business School. You register for your room at the Admin block and then walk to your room depending on which wing you have been allocated. I was allocated to the West Wing which was a 5 minute walk from the reception through the car park and a pretty walk through some trees. I presume that the accommodation is usually used for visiting lecturers or students. Set in a beautiful park, theres lots of trails for walking. Noticed a bus stop just outside the entrance to the park so I presume access into Oxford would be quite easy. The room was spacious and well appointed with everything working well. My room came with breakfast which was served in the Administration block. All in all a great visit.

Room Tip: Ground floor as there are no lifts
