Impression that decor and plates have not been renewed for long time.

Some training in hospitality / concept of the effect of the smile on customer experience is some area to improve on.

Was hot day there was no air con, no fan and the bottom part of window does not open. Another area to look at.

Have been visiting al Shami for years as it is one of my favourite eateries in the UK. Have tried a wide variety from the excellent menu and everything is fantastic. The mezes are all amazing and clearly fresh and home made in the restaurant. The falafel is out of this world and the best I’ve ever had. I’m also a huge fan of the grilled meat and fish. Would highly recommend to anyone living or visiting Oxford. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a really nice dinner. The food was freshly made and the menu offereded a range of genuine options. Best felafel and aubergine puree ever tried. The lamb was succulent and the portions generous.
Great prices ad well!

I was very disappointed by Al-Shami. It has a pretty good location and the staff are friendly but the food is (at best) very ordinary. The restaurant isn't particularly clean but worst of all, the loos are disgustingly filthy, and that was at the very beginning of the evening. I shall not be returning,

Had lunch here recently, and it was a great experience. The restaurant is situated on a charming curved corner between streets. We sat at a table by the window and watched life in Jericho going by, while eating the best Middle Eastern food. Dishes of cauliflower, spicy sausage, chicken livers, ground up nutty stuff, hummus, falafel, potatoes, and minced lamb, were all wonderfully fresh and full of flavour. Can’t beat this place. Service was helpful and attentive. Oxford’s best Lebanese by far.
