No in house evening meal restaurant. Restaurant in nearby cinema/entertainment complex. Eating utensils, plates etc provided for take away meals, and menus and free phone for several take aways that deliver to the hotel. We had the chinese and it was delicious, it took an hour to arrive, but to be fair they did tell us an hour when we placed our order. Breakfast OK, room OK but no air-con.

Room tip: Rooms on the east side are cooler in hot weather evenings.

Full credit must go to all the staff at this hotel from the Receptionist, Manager and Food Servers. They are all warm and friendly and the Receptionist doubles up as bar staff!

The rooms are small and dated, but the showers excellent. There are no frills but everything you might have forgotten is available on request. However, the beds are small and, having stayed in many hotels, the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in.

Breakfast has lots to choose from, cooked and continental, but the sausages are all rusk and no meat - really disgusting. There are fresh pastries and toast so all is not lost.

This is a convenient hotel but is too expensive for what is on offer.

Room tip: Don't eat the sausages!

Dear Guest
Thank you for posting your review. I am sorry that the bed was uncomfortable. We are planning to refurbish the hotel later in the year during which time all the beds & soft furnishings will be replaced.
I am sorry that you were disappointed with the Cumberland breakfast sausage, these are supplied from our nominated IHG supplier, their provenance is thoroughly sourced

Not many positives other than good WiFi. Don’t serve food, the nearest option is Frankie and Benny’s which is bang average. Soulless bar area, glad I only had to stay one night. Staff were pleasant, the lack of hotel facilities aren’t their fault.

Dear Guest
Thank you for posting your review. I am sorry that the hotel didn't meet your expectations. There are however 2 restaurants just 5 minutes walk from the hotel: Frankie & Benny’s and Oxy Oriental. Park Leisure Club is next to the restaurants, they allow our hotel guests to visit the club for £5.
The hotel is 500m from Oxford Science park and near the BMW mini plant and with free parking it is a good base for exploring the area.
Kind regards

This hotel is brilliant for the Pass an Stadium, but also if you are not involved/interested in football. We arrived a Saturday of game day - by chance. After the match started there were no signs of football crowds and although 100%full that night, there was no noise or problems to disturb our sleep. Breakfast was good and relaxing. We used the 'Pick me up' bus to go into Oxford on Sunday and it was easier and less hassle than taking the car. £2.50 per head with concessions rate/free.

Room tip: State any requests on booking as changes may not be available due to high demand.

Dear Guest
Thank you for posting your review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. The home fans are welcomed into the bar before the games but after the match the bar is only open for hotel residents

Staff very helpful and polite. Clean comfortable rooms. When we arrived the bar area was very busy as there was a football match on at the stadium, however no issue and they have good security to make sure no noise etc. It is not within walking distance to Oxford but we had a hire car so we thought ok. First time driving in the UK and we did get a bit confused trying to drive into town. On Sunday we used the pick me up bus service which cost 2.50 pounds each way per person, much easier than driving in and trying to park and was cheaper than paying for parking.

Dear Guest
Thank you for posting your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
We would always recommend public transport for getting into the City Centre. parking in the centre is very expensive
There are a number of ways to get to the City Centre: taxi fixed price £12 can be ordered by hotel, use Park & Ride Redbridge, OX1 4XG or by bus take either 1 or 5 from Knights Rd, buses run every 6 minutes. There is also a new Pick-me-up service: a mini bus service that charges £2.50 to the City centre
