Owner description: The main buildings at Hertford College are linked together by a corridor called the "Bridge of Sighs," built in 1913-14 and named after the Ponte dei Sospiri in Venice.

Almost as famous a building as the bridge in Venice...one of the must see buildings when walking around the ancient colleges of Oxford.

Beautiful bridge just beside some of the major sights in the middle of Oxford. If you pass it stop and have a look, even worth planning the walk past it :-)

I wandered in and out of a few of the Cambridge colleges and each one was impressive but my favourite was St.Johns college and the Bridge of Sighs. Beautiful grounds.

This is one of only two, maybe three places that I know of where ya can find a bridge like this. Two here in the U.K. , and the other in Italy.
