Gail's is fine - if you have enough money that you'd prefer to spend it on a mediocre 'artisan bakery' rather than walk 10 minutes in any direction in Oxford to a better one. My companion and I shared an overdone, rather tasteless almond and chocolate croissant. I had an overpriced latte and she paid £5 (!!) for hot chocolate which we saw being poured from a jug which had clearly been sitting there for a while, since it arrived almost cold. I'd recommend walking up Walton Street (round the corner) to Barefoot Cafe, or heading down to Crisis Cafe or the Art Cafe, instead.
