Called for a drink on a wet day and on entering the pub bar found it to be a very cosy pub and old fashioned.
It is not a typical hotel whichis a change more of a pub atmosphere.

Stopped here for lunch while touring the area and wished we hadn't bothered. Ordered tea and the cold roast beef sandwich. The tea came but after waiting for half an hour the sandwich still didn’t appear!
So sadly I'm unable to rate the food as we left hungry and disappointed.

Not a pleasant stay! Very noisy room situated on the roadside. Not a good breakfast. None speaking English staff.

Restaurant was clearly a local hub, but it was noted that they were almost all drinks only, or drinks and snacks. Menu was average - not particularly extensive but standard pub fare. I had the half chicken with mash. The chicken was tasty but the carrots tasted like they were on the turn and, as is pretty standard, the amount of vegetables was pathetically small. The mash also had a bizarre taste; reminded me slightly of mature cheese, but given I'd asked for it to be dairy free, I hope that wasn't the cause!

We booked a superior room, with four poster bed for three nights, we checked out after one night. There was nothing superior about the room, the four-poster bed was kept together with silver screws which were evidently not screwed in properly as they were sticking out in several angles. . The TV was positioned in such a way as to be impossible for both people to see when lying in bed. There was also a used plaster in the bed side drawer !!

we enquired, at the time of booking, if there was secure parking onsite and were informed Yes however they failed to tell us it was very limited so when we arrived we had to park at a public park car park down the road, we would never have booked this hotel had we believed there was very little chance of parking onsite. The information on the hotels website also boasted a squash court so we packed our squash gear, however it is now a store room.
