Close to city centre, easy to find, not too small, not too large, a good varied selection of plays and acts.

We have been going to the Panto here for nearly 20 years and this was another great year. Look out for this year as Kenneth Taylor is back!

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this yeat the Nottinham Playhouse provides an original theatrical experience. Although the play I saw, Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" in a radical re-interpretation, was not to my taste, the experience was enjoyable, and the 95% full auditorium gave a very good atmosphere. All seats have an uninterrupted view of the large stage.

Car parking is available at nearby NCP multi-storey facilities; be sure to get your ticket re-issued at the theatre so that you pay "only" £5, rather than twice that to park during an evening performance.

If you are visiting Nottingham, I recommend that you check the theatre's website for the current programme, to see if the play or other entertainment appeals, and, if so, treat yourself to what shoud be a good night out.
