This is a painted bronze statue of a man sitting on a three-legged stool. He's high on the moor, looking into the distance over Westerdale.

He's very well done, and it's an enjoyable stroll to go see him.

He's is a short walk from the road on Castleton Rigg. Park beside the road about a mile or so outside Castleton when driving towards the Red Lion on Blakey Ridge. Then follow the obvious path around the hillside.

The path was pretty muddy when we visited, so choose your footwear accordingly.
