Dave came and picked us up in Chollerford, while we were on our Hadrian's Wall walk. They were a friendly couple and we enjoyed talking with them. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was substantial, and they packed us a lunch for our walk.

This bed and breakfast was just fabulous. It is in a beautiful little village, and the house itself is very comfortable with comfy beds and lovely roaring fires. The owners did everything they could to help welcome us and were friendly and full of knowledge about places to eat and walks round about. The breakfasts are amazing and generous and really set you up for a day out in the countryside. They are in the process of renovating and updating and when it is finished it will be even better. They welcomed the kids and were very relaxed about eating times and noise etc which made it a very relaxing stay for us. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday and we would definitely recommend to everyone we know and come back in the future!

We stopped at another bed and breakfast and asked directions to the Simonburn Bed & Breakfast, the owner was very kind and told us the new owners were delightful. She was absolutely correct. We were treated as family, enjoyed a bit of friendly banter.

This was my favorite stay on the hike. I would like to come back and visit again.

This little gem is made extra special by its owners. We stayed here on the second night of a walking holiday and were given an outstanding welcome by our hosts. This really is British hospitality at its best. The rooms were very comfortable and the guesthouse is very tranquil and in a wonderful, peaceful setting. We were picked up in the evening and and taken back to our walk the next morning by Dave who also took us into town in the evening and picked us up again for our evening meal. We could not fault this place and often talked of it during our walk, with a heartfelt wish to return some day. Breakfast was excellent too. We hope to visit again, and next time have time for afternoon tea in the Tea Rooms too!
