Interesting visit, able to learn the history of the Minster and see the large stained glass windows. Services are held regularly for those interested.

A beautiful place with stunning architecture. It is a pity that they have to charge so much entry but it must be costly to keep the building in good repair. There were visible works going on outside. We attended Mass which was uplifting but I found that the constant noise from mobile phones and people talking on them in loud voices spoilt the experience somewhat. Photographs are allowed to be taken its just a pity that more cannot be done to limit the use of mobile phones in the building.

It costs £11 each to get in, but there is a free tour and the building is breathtakingly awesome. I was so impressed with the size of the place and the extent to which they are constantly restoring everything

Awe-inspiring building, very peaceful and beautifully conserved. So much to discover, it’s well worth more than one visit.

A really, beautiful and interesting cathedral....history everywhere - including the Undercroft museum - the stained glass windows are beautiful - and be sure to kiss your loved one under the Heart Of Yorkshire window to guarantee true love forever!! We passed on climbing the Tower (my knees won't take it!) but I'm told the view over York from the top is spectacular. Well worth the entrance fee!
