I haven't visited the cafe since the place changed hands, however the walks are amazing and the paths are still very well kept. You can see for miles when you're at the top. There is no issue with the parking even when busy too, very well managed.

What a well organised and clean site this is. Lord stones is a delight. Good enthusiastic staff. Claire in the shop is awesome. Major footpaths and routes are through the site and in the surrounding areas. Great hiking and our night walk bagged us a wild deer grazing in the moonlight. Stunning views from the hilltop and ridge. Wood burner in the yurt, but I'll bring my own wood next time. It's a bit expensive to buy there. Shower block is secure and clean. A great venue for a little family adventure, and a night or two under canvass, Glamping at it finest

We bought sandwiches and pork pies from the deli area. All delicious.

Lovely outdoor setting. Big umbrellas for shade.

Lots of families with dogs who seemed to be ordering burgers and club sandwiches. They looked great.

Called in for a family lunch for my mams birthday. Was given a good table by the friendly staff.
Didn,t have long to wait for the food which was surprising as the place was quite busy.
We all enjoyed our meal very much , the food was delicious. We are told all of the meat is locally sourced.
Would definately return.

A lovely Campsite in a beautiful location well served by a restaurant / cafe.
However, the showers are a travesty. Literally the old adage of running about in it to get wet applies ,the jet has such a wide arc that it goes all to the sides .The light also switches off after a few minutes so you are invariably showering in the dark so you are endlessly putting your hand out of the cubicle to activate the movement sensor light. This attempt at cost saving probably has a counter effect as the amount of time it takes to get wet means your visit lasts for some time.
So owners, please replace the shower heads so we can have a decent meaningful shower and fix the timer on the light . Easy done I would have thought ?

Thank you for your positive review of your stay with us at Lordstones and the feedback about the showers.
We are in the process of replacing the shower heads and the non-concussive valves so that guests experience the best shower possible. We have not experienced any complaints about the movement sensors lights as they are sensitive to most human movements and are installed to reduce electricity costs.
We do take all feedback seriously and thank you for your comments.
