“A hidden (serene) gem!”
Reviewed 1 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

What a great place to spend a long weekend with friends. Once we'd arrived, we didn't use our car until we left. Robin and Elena were very welcoming and helpful - the cottage is bright, clean and warm and the setting is perfect for long walks along the river with the obligatory stop at a pub for lunch or dinner!

“Clean, quiet and convenient location”
Reviewed 11 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed here for a few days whilst visiting our daughter at UAE. The cottage was clean and quiet, and everything that we hoped for. The rooms were all comfortable and warm, though the weather was unseasonably reasonable, so it didn't really matter. The cottage is close to the River Yare and there are footpaths and laneways which lead to 3 different waterside pubs (take a torch if going at night). Though it is close to Norwich, it's a narrow, winding road much of the way. Owners Robin and Elena were both helpful and friendly. I recommend this cottage to anyone who would like quiet and comfortable accommodation near Norwich.

“Good place to stay to explore Norfolk Broads area”
Reviewed 21 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We booked this accommodation at short notice (3 days) & were not disappointed. It lived up to its 4 star rating & the owners Robin & Elena who live on site were extremely helpful & friendly. There was a welcome pack of food essentials provided (Bread, butter, milk, eggs, cornflakes) which was useful as there are no shops locally, the nearest big Supermarkets are in Norwich about 8 miles away, Morrisons being the most convenient to get to. The accommodation itself was very comfortable, each bedroom having its own luxurious en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating, the all-in-one lounge, kitchen, dining area was also comfortable with everything you need for a holiday stay. There are also a nice quiet garden shared with the other lodge, but each having its own patio area. There are also shared washing & drying facilities for the 2 lodges in a porch area. I felt that the lounge area could be improved with subdued lighting via table lamps or dimmer switches for TV viewing, but that is just a personal preference of mine & is perhaps being hypercritical.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation to friends & family for a quiet & restful holiday, but a car is essential as public transport is limited.

Really good place to stay and good value for money. Quiet, nice garden and patio, linked to another stay home if there are more than 4 of you staying, clean, bread etc for you in the kitchen, friendly owners. Definitely recommend!

“Great place to stay.”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

The cottage was spacious, comfortable and very clean and had all the amenities we could want as well as a welcome pack. Well situated for exploring Norfolk and close to city of Norwich. The cottage itself is in a very peaceful part of the countryside. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
