Any time your walking around London and come upon some green space to relax, sit down or take a break, this would be one of those places. Not far from Buckingham Palace in the Westminster district.

These attractive gardens are divided into two parts by busy roads and are a welcome retreat for visitors and local workers.

Grosvenor is the family surname of the Duke of Westminster, who owns much of the land in this part of London.

Very close to Victoria Station, where I usually arrive by train on my visits to the metropolis, I have rested here many times.

There are numerous statues, structures and sculptures, some rather humorous, and my own favourite is the equestrian bronze of Marshal Foch, the French military leader who in 1918 became Commander-in-Chief of all allied armies on the Western and Italian Fronts and who was later honoured by being created a Field Marshal of Great Britain. I think it is one of the best such monuments in this city.

A really lovely green space in central London. I waited for friends here before we boarded our bus for our day out. Despite being in a busy area, it felt like fairly peaceful. Lovely!!
