We visited a number of pubs in the locality during one afternoon and this was by far the quietest. As it's a Samuel Smiths pub they only have their own brewed beers which are unknown to some. As we had a number of Guinness drinkers in our party we decided not to stay for long and moved on.

Stumbled over this pub whilst looking for a place to have lunch.
Good food though our son with Gluten allergy got sick.
Staff could not have understood the effect gluten has to a celiac.
Still, the rest of us had a good meal and a few nice pints.
Coming back soon :)

Dropped in in a Saturday evening for a drink before a show.. Initial impression was OK.. Seemed fairly quiet compared to others in the area.. Lots of nooks and crannies and bigger inside than looks from outside.. darts and pool too.. All good so far. Asked for a bottle of wine.. They only do one type of red, white and rose.. Red was $21.50 which is too much but I took it.. Was short changed by $10 and had to point this out as the barman was serving the next customer.. No apology.. Not good enough.

The beer is bad and pricy (~5£), the staff is unfriendly (kicked out exactly at 11 pm), restrooms are messy and we even had a hair at a pint.

My husband and I came here as we saw it on Trip Advisor and we liked the name of it. A traditional London boozer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who make recommendations. I had a bottle of Perry and my husband had a pint of 'Taddy'!!
Great atmosphere and a cosy feel. Would definitely return if I was in the area.
