these works "do" things with 20 people can often disappoint: slow service, orders mixed up and then mucking about with the bill. Had not been here before so was a very pleasant surprise. West Hampstead has been on the up and this is reflected in the many eateries that abound.
In fact the team here managed us well. Yes was bit of a wait but then the orders came flying in at the same time.
I must have had calves liver 100s of times and can honestly say that this variant with gnocchi was up there with the best. Also, place was full nd buzzing at 7pm pn a Wednesday- a good sign. Highly recommend.

I've spent about 6 years trying to find a really good Italian restaurant in the West End. I probably failed. Then closer to home in North West London but the results were mixed. But finally and ironically as this place is 2 minutes walk from my apartment, I fell in love with Sarracino.

It's the one place in London I will take anyone to, be they a friend, a girlfriend, family...and despite the crowded ground floor, it contains an intimidate atmosphere, cracking and reasonably priced food along with some great wine.

It is an absolute find, unassuming but extremely good.

The food is good and prices are fair. However the staff must stop to be so pushy. They keep coming at your table pouring wine and water to make sure the bottles are always empty so they can ask if you want more. They looked annoyed when we said we did not like more. It is unpleasant to see that waiters are continuously walking around you staring at your plate. I understand you try to sell more but please do it with a little more discretion.

The team here are always gracious and welcoming and it's great that it's open on a Sunday night. On a warm evening we sat by open windows. Unable to agree on which wine to order this evening the Manager Roberto brought 3 different tasters for us to try....we couldn't ask for more! It was a hugely hospitable gesture. There are often several tables of Italians in the restaurant where they clearly feel at home.
It's a restaurant where you can happily eat at either end of the price scale, delicious pasta in interesting sauces or perfect pizzas that large tables can order by the metre to share.
We ate a wide variety of dishes: veal escalope, grilled fish, pasta and pizza and everything was delicious.
Staff are always charming and it's relatively easy to park nearby. A perfect local restaurant.

Great pizza. Flat, crispy crust, mild sauce, good ingredients. Sauced and cheesed in moderation, not flooded! Recommend the vegetarian with aubergine, courgette, black olives. Very fast delivery to Marriott Regents Park!
