We stayed here for one night to attend 'Open Garden Squares' weekend.
My review reflects the cost of £69.60 for two people including breakfast.
The location is brilliant, just across the road from Euston Station. The rooms although sparse, as cited on its website, are spacious and clean and include towels, soap and free WiFi.
We had a shared bathroom and despite many people staying there the bathroom was empty every time I wanted to use it. The shower was clean and hot with good water pressure. However I personally thought the bathroom facilities could do with a lick of paint to freshen them up.
Breakfast was excellent and included all the items you'd expect for a full English including vegetarian sausages, cereals, fresh fruit, tinned fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, pain au chocolat, croissants, toast, jam etc. There was coffee machine for a range of coffees and also regular filter coffee in a jug.
Outside the dining room was a garden terrace where you could take your breakfast.
Passfield Hall attracts a range of customers of different ages and we noticed single travellers, couples, families and larger groups.
We stayed in an annex across the courtyard and noticed a launderette in a building which would be great if you were staying for a week.
I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for great value for money in a safe location. We will certainly be booking again and I would happily stay here if I travelled alone.

Room Tip: Lower ground annex was extremely quiet on a Saturday night and we didn't experience any queuing for the bathroom.

These are simple student rooms and we had shared facilities but were actually pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and lack of queues for the bathrooms. Breakfast was great and a good variety. A couple of tips: the list only goes to the second floor, rooms backing onto the very peaceful rear courtyard are quieter than those on the front of the building. Be aware though that the rooms were very, very hot this weekend and for some bizarre reason the lovely windows from the dining room to the garden were kept shut which made the dining room also very, very hot. All in all though it was great value for money and we'll be back next year but going for en suite rooms - I'm far too old to be sharing bathrooms with strangers!

Hi Claire F,

We are sorry to hear about the windows issue in the dining room - we will look into opening them throughout the Summer to help cool down the dining space.

The student rooms are clean and spacious (beds a bit hard an institutional). Brekky excellent, wifi fast, staff friendly. Will definitely book again if come through to St Pancras/Kings X - highly recommended of you want a reliable, clean, convenient stay at a great price which you'd be hard pushed to find elsewhere in London

Very friendly reception staff. Room was small but comfortable. Great value for money for a Saturday night in London. Good quaulity breakfast in the morning. I paid £46.00 for the night with brekky, simple but well worth it.

This was the second time I stayed at LSE Passfield Hall, this time in the main building. I like the closeness to Euston station. I feel safe in this neighbourhood. I like being within walking distance of Covent Garden and the British Museum. Even Westminster is less than 1 hour walk away.I saw An American in Paris and felt reasonably safe walking briskly back alone after the performance.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The shower rooms are clean. I don't like having to walk down the corridor for the toilet at night, but the inexpensive room price helps! I kept a small cloth wallet looped over my room door handle with my room key card in. It made it easy to remember to take it with me.
The big breakfasts were varied and nicely cooked with medium quality ingredients. This is not the place to go to for outdoor bred specialty sausages.
