My wife and I, with her sister and husband, decided to try The Palomar for our lunch. We had previously looked at the interesting menu and were very unsure what to order. On entering, we were politely welcomed by a delightful lady who showed us to our table through a throng of lively and happy diners. Once seated, we had the menu expertly explained and she answered very clearly how the menu was set up. We ordered a range of starters and drinks and when it arrived we tucked in. Wow! The flavours were quite stunning, the highlights being the taramasalata and the baba ganoush...the best we have ever had. The main dishes were again, superb, packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The confit duck and sea bream were amazing ! Pudding and coffee to follow...delightful. With wine and soft drinks, the whole bill came to around £150 including a 12.5%service...great value for four people. We all loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service was exemplary. On enquiring about the recipe for the taramasalata , we were given the chef’s email. We wrote to him and he replied within an hour with full details and a screenshot of the recipe. What fabulous service! Overall, this is one of the best restaurants I have eaten in and wholeheartedly recommend it.
