Been going to Chaudhry's for a few years now - but less and less in frequency as the price has crept up to the point where it is now no longer value for money. You pay £14 on a weekend day - unless you happen to be a big eater you will get better value by just going to a standard kebab type place and having a good curry and kebab and nan for less than you pay at Chaudhry's. Also - the hygiene levels have dropped - last two visits I have suffered tummy bugs for 2 to 3 days after visit. I think leaving the sauces out without refrigerating is a bad move and leaving the ice-cream scoops in dirty water in one jug is a breeding ground for bacteria.

Normally food is good. Today everything they had looked and tasted old! Rice was burnt, chicken hard as rock! Didn't enjoy the experience. Standards have slipped and the place looked dead! No customers on a Friday night?

Have visited here numerous times as a local resident.

Dinner courses in the Buffet are generally fresh and authentic with some great regional specialties. E.g. Haleem, Nihari.

Lamb curry (boneless) is sometimes a bit fatty which can be off-putting so hopefully this is noted if the management read this and can vary in quality. Whilst they offer other food styles at the buffet like Chinese/English, these do not compare in quality to the More superior and fresher Pakistani dishes.

The desert counter is most disappointing with the cheapest artificial tasting ice cream you could imagine. This area of the restaurant clearly is an area for improvement with fresher and better quality options needed. Remember this is the last impression you have. I would suggest for desert the gulab jamun or gajar halwa. Avoid the other deserts. My only other criticism is that the drinks prices are very inflated compared to other local restaurants.

If there is a function taking place e.g wedding party or birthday its is probably worth avoiding if you want a relaxing meal. It becomes complete chaos with uncontrolled children running around the entire restaurant with extreme noise levels like sitting in a children's playground.

Nonetheless I return time after time to get a taste of home Pakistani cooking. If you go as a couple try and go when it's less busy for a better experience and stick to the Pakistani food.

Generally, buffet food was good and freshly prepared, lot of variety but desserts were bland and leaves ‘bad taste’ after good food.
Service was good.
Music was nondescript, same notes repeated again and again.
Charges reasonable but cash before being seated.
We were 10 in the family, staff put 2 tables together seat us.
