I can only advise everyone to avoid this eatery at Terminal 4. I don’t think I’ve had worse food in England ever.

And whatever you do, don’t have the Schnitzel. It is seriously disgusting.

The service is clueless and totally disengaged. If if the knew what they were doing, they couldn’t care less. Only the bus boys are friendly.

On top of all, it is totally overpriced.

Super little restaurant with an assortment of seating options and classy service. Service is fast but not pushy and the seats are designed for luggage - booths are divided with an out of the area hideaway for carry on. The oriel grand breakfast is sumptuous and every item is beautifully cooked.
Great coffees and even better hot chocolates

Very good menu, great food and wine and waitresses excellent. Good wine and beer list makes for a very relaxing start to any journey. Recommended as a very good and regular stop off point for any journey.
While all the staff are good Natasha was particularly good - fabulous.

This a review for Oriel Grande Brasserie - Terminal 4.

Visited last weekend with mum and wife before a flight. Whilst not many choices at T4, I had enjoyed Oriel in T3 previously so we decided on a quick brunch.
Whilst venue was busy, we chose our table after a few changes based on the air con and promptly served by an attractive waitress (receipt says Ivaylo?) who was very courteous. On requesting tap water before deciding on food and drink, it was pleasing to have this request accepted without the hard sell on upselling to bottled branded water - big tick here.

We all had a variant on Eggs Benedict/Florentine or Nordique and all were excellent with runny eggs - another big tick - and a not too tangy hollandaise. - tick. All three of us commented on how surprised we were at just how good the eggs had been cooked. Shared side of frites also welcome.

But here is where the waitress and Oriel have gained 5 stars - exceptional customer service that made me as a customer feel empowered and not a hindrance.

Despite the great food we had issues with the coffees. Round 1 of three coffees (1 x black, 2 x flat whites) all tasted very bitter and acidic, so these were kindly replaced on request. Round 2 fared no better and none of us could drink them - maybe an off day for the barista or similar but whilst unfortunate not a deal breaker for the venue or our experience. Expecting to pay for one round of coffee, without request, all coffees were removed from the bill, with a sincere apology - no questions asked.. This i found to be the highest level of providing customer satisfaction - no awkward discussion was entered into, i received service beyond my expectations, and I left a (small) tip to show that the gesture was appreciated. Tick, tick, tick.

Thank you Ivaylo - great job ensuring I will return; and I will sing the praises of Oriel to all (not sure if will be game to grab a coffee though!)

Thank you

We had lunch here recently, while waiting for our flight. The brasserie is nicely decorated and welcoming, with a good menu. The food we ordered was nicely presented and tasted delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
