We booked a standard room for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and couldn't have been more pleased! St. Ermins is a great location for accessing the Thames, Westminster, the Palace, Trafalgar, and St. James Park. With a tube stop right next door and Victoria station within an easy walk, points farther afield are super easy as well. The hotel itself is attractive and well kept, the room comfortable and up to date, and the staff welcoming and attentive. We were particularly impressed with the friendliness of the entire staff, and enjoyed some great cocktails in the Caxton Grill, along with a nice fish and chips .......... the breakfast buffet is nice - if pricey (then again, in line with London pricing :-)). Complementary wine was offered in the lobby in early evening too. A number of Brits were staying here as well, and the bar and lounge area allowed us some great conversations with exceptionaly nice Brits and their families ........ we don't have kids, but many did and seemed comfortable at St. Ermins. The immediate area offers lots of options for quick dining and conveniences, and is fairly quiet in the evenings. The hotel itself seems particularly well run, family friendly, clean and modern - we will plan our stay next year again with St. Ermins!

Room Tip: our room faced New Scotland Yard, and was quiet and comfortable

The St. Ermins service is hands down the finest of all the hotels I have ever stayed at. It's been a year since my last visit and several of the staff recognzed me and welcomed me back. The rooms are very sharp, elegant but comfortable. The in house restaurant The Caxton Grille is beautiful and is serving top rate food and service. The location is perfect. You are only 3 mins from the St. James Park Underground station and can be any where is just a short Tube stop or quick walk. I can not recommend this hotel enough. I miss it already!

I stayed at the St Ermin's with my family and parents to celebrate my mum's birthday.

The beautiful Victorian building is very impressive. The rooms are clean, modern and recently refurbished.

The restaurant is contemporary and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food and wine menus are limited but all option are good and perfectly presented.

The lobby, lounges and bar areas are first class and I will definitely use them when I am in town on business.

All of the staff have been excellent and very good with children.

Can't fault this Hotel. A wonderful Hotel in a Wonderful location.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time May 2012. Convenient for Buckingham Palace as our son had an invite to the Queen's Garden Party.
The decor and furnishings of the hotel could not be faulted.
We noted that the hotel was very quiet although the floorboards creaked as they should in established hotels of a certain age.
The staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was an extra charge. A cooked breakfast served to table I felt was expensive though a continental one was available at a lesser charge.
St James tube station is near at hand.
We would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor side of hotel. Very quiet.
