Booked this hotel for 5 days for my london trip.
Pros: Location. The hotel is 2min walk to earls court where u can take the train all over london as well as less than hour ride to Gatwick. Also, plenty of resturants, pub, supermarket ad well as currency exchange places near by. Nandos is on the same street. Wifi is available for free with good speed. Price paid for five days.

Cons: I picked this place because it included breakfast however, breakfast is horrible. First day I arrived i was told I could not get a cup of coffee because I did not check in yet . Like i've never experienced this type of service being denied breakfast cause i am not checked in till 3. Besides that, breakfast options for the 2 days i attempted were bananas cut into pieces for guests, meats like salami cut in half, toast with butter or jam, dry cereals. Horrible go to mcds instead its around the corner with coffee shops. Room size is a joke. Bed is old and uncomfortable, shower cant fit a normal person, water pressure weak, fixtures are old. There is no elevator and the stairs are alot to get to your room especially if you are on the 4th floor with luggage. No one helps you with bags either. NO SAFE in room and you have to give in your room key to reception every morning.

Do yourself a favor and ask to be on the first two floors and don't include breakfast when booking as well choose a room that fits 2 to be comfortable.

Thank you for pointing out the pros and cons of your visit to our hotel. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the buffet breakfast but would like to say in our defence that we know of no hotel which serves breakfast at 3pm. Although there are no safes in the bedrooms, we do have a large safe at Reception where guests are welcome to store their valuables. Guests are advised to hand in their keys on leaving the hotel purely as a security measure. I apologise if you were not helped with your luggage since this is a service which my staff are always instructed to offer. Your feedback is important to us.

My wife and I arrived in London a few weeks ago to find that our travel agent had messed up our reservations and we were without a hotel for the first night. After checking reviews of nearby hotels on TripAdvisor, we found the Hotel Rushmore and they were able to accommodate us at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As another reviewer noted, there is no lift in the hotel, but they carried our luggage up to the third floor for us. Following checkout the next morning, we were able to store our luggage for the day so we wouldn't have to transfer it to our other hotel in the rain.

Our room was basic, but clean and well decorated. Nice bathroom that looked like it had been recently remodeled.

Great location around the corner from Earl's Court Station near restaurants, coffee shops, small grocery stores, etc.

It's good to hear that you are a returning guest to Rushmore Hotel. I'm sorry you were disappointed with certain aspects of the hotel such as breakfast. We try to offer a varied selection including fruit juices, cereals, yogurt & fresh fruit, in addition to the items which you mentioned. However, we don't serve a full English breakfast which some guests perhaps expect. Our room sizes are average for townhouse hotels of the same category in this area. Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor.

This hotel has a decent value for your money and it has good pros and some big cons. Pros: (1) it is one block away from Earl's Court train station which gives you easy transportation to and from the Gatwick Airport (40 minutes, 2 trains), (2) There's several places to eat nearby and (3) it is not far from main attractions such as Buckingham Palace (one train ride, less than 20 minutes, including walking time). Cons: (1) Shower is absolutely a no-no. If you're a mid-size to large person, you'll definitely have issues to take a decent shower, (2) If you're carrying several or big bags, have fun with all the steps to go up the stairs (with us, no help was offered by the staff). Staff is not rude but they could be a bit more friendly. To sum up, this hotel can do the trick but you'll face some challenges.

Hotel Rushmore just steps from the Earls Court tube station is in a perfect
location for London visitors. Also, it is located in a neighborhood area close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. The staff is friendly and helpful...so what more could one wish for!
