This is a small place but very interesting although quite disturbing. My teenagers attention span for family days out doesn’t allow for full days so this hidden place was a perfect find and the family ticket price very reasonable including a fun picture at the end.

Walking past and saw the sign and thought to myself, why not check it out.

Was ok, worth a look, but somewhere you probably only go once.

Very interesting museum. Great value, especially when taking advantage of 2 for 1 rail offer. Good way to spend an hour or so.

We went to the Clink Prison Museum to kill time before pre-theatre meal at the Globe, as it's nearby. It's situated near the Thames, very close to the actual site of the Clink Prison, which has now been built on. It was hugely atmospheric, with lots of gory displays, scenes and sound effects. The museum is small, but there is so much to see and read that you could easiliy spend either half an hour or 2 hours in there, depending on how interested you are in the history of the prison and the sentences, torture and conditions in the prison. It's pretty gruesome, and probably too frightening for small children, but older children would love it. We left feeling thankful that we live in the 21st century!

Very well set out 'fun type' museum. Interesting and informative even for 'know-alls' like me who might think that this might be a kid's place......in fact, kids would love this - especially the gory bits but even stuffy old history buffs will find this museum great.
