Some reviews compare this hotel unfavourably to some of the other Firmdale hotels such as Hamyard and Covent Garden. But that is a tad unfair: this hotel is much better value and is not a full amenities 5 star hotel. Rather it is a small boutique hotel, no restaurant or proper hotel bar.
But it has the beautiful design of the other hotels + a great location and lovely staff.

A few minor points:
- we stayed at room 106. Standard room. It is small. OK for 1 night. Not great for a longer stay.
- bathrooms don't seem to be revamped. Rather dowdy looking
- we ordered coffee for 2 and porridge on room service. Only 1 cup/ person and watery porridge

Despite the few minor points, I would stay again. It offers fairly good value in an excellent location.

This hotel is small, housed in two small townhouses. However, it has all amenities of a larger hotel, including room service. Tastefully decorated, clean, bright and new, it was only a few blocks from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other great shopping stores but located on a quiet street with no noise. I will definitely return!!

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor and never once heard street noise, although we slept with the windows open

We have been staying in this hotel for many years, every year in a row. It's like a second home to us. We visit my husband's parents in Gloucestershire then end our trips in London for 2-3 days & we always come here. The staff is incredibly friendly & helpful. The hotel has terrific style & ambience with its lovely lounge area/library. It has the perfect Knightsbridge location with walking distance to Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Harrods, & many fantastic eating places. We will always keep coming here for sure.

I had a chance to stay here again and appreciated the stay the second time around.

The rooms are cozy, beautifully decorated, and nice and warm It was freezing outside so it was great to have such a cozy room to come back to with heated towels..YES, heated towels. The staff were all lovely and super helpful. It was great to be able to get messages from them when a room was available for an earlier than expected check-in and the nice surprises in the room. The staff were so helpful getting around.

We actually enjoyed the sitting area with the breakfast in the morning. A bit expensive, but quite lovely to enjoy fresh fruits and a coffee before heading out.

Location was great. Minutes away from Portobello market road for the antique market on the weekend, gorgeous Hyde Park, Harrods, and Knightsbridge tube station.

Great stay and I look forward to going back.

I have been coming here more than 20 years.
Some 15 years ago, Firmdale took over from Mr Lee and did a beautiful job transforming the hotel.
I visit several times per year and it remains a delightful and comfortable place to spend a week or two whilst in London
The people come and go, but they seem to be from the same source - all very pleasant and professional and helpful

Room Tip: Junior suite Rooms on Beaufort gardens are the best
