Hotel was well placed for going to Wembly as it is on the West side of London. Very clean & professional staff attended to our every need. Whilst the carpark had to be paid for, it was on the doorstep. Having chosen to eat in for a nice relaxing Evening Meal the 3-course meal + wine + coffee would have been over in 20-minutes if the waiter had not been repeatly sent away ...... the volinist was excellent though. The room was well furnished with a good strong shower (once the 3-knob settings had been sorted). Air-con worked well although, was turned-off by the Hotel in the early hours automaticly. The bed was really good for me although the pillows were old & flat. Sleeping was a problem due to the air-con + pillows.
PS the high rise front view over London plus the train-track was good ( you needed the air-con on than opening the windows as the noise attenuation of the trains was really good & effective with them closed).
Overall the Hotel & staff were very good with the price reflecting London.
The Bus service was easier than using the tube form St Johns

Room Tip: ask for a room on a high floor to see the sites + that the air-con isn't automaticly turned off at 02:00-hr.

I been there this year with one BFF and it was just fine, I didn't like the ideea of sleeping with more people in the room but finaly it was cool, we now have new friends and nice memories. If you are looking for comfort, this is not your place, but if you like cheap visits with lots of fun and people this is the right place to stay. I payed less than I would pay in my city for a hotel night in the subs. Coclusion. I say it is just perfect for 7.5 punds/ night, with this money I eat lunch here :)) :D

Belated review from stay in Mar 2006. Since prices in London are outrageous no matter what, this was what I expected for the money: the price of 4 days in London was more than 7 days in the Caribbean, just a month before. Rooms small but clean enough. We had a basement room but there was a basement type window. It actually allowed decent privacy and low noise for a city room. Would recommend for a budget stay where your main focus is spending time away from the hotel and it's only used for sleeping/showering.

Stayed here for three nights recently. Absolutely awful! Room was shabby and dusty. Television did not work. Curtains in window were patrially off the hooks so curtains did not close fully. Toilet only flushed after three or four attempts. T.iles were cracked in the bathroom. This hotel is so awful it is farcical. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is in central London.

The owners of this hotel probably realise that they have an excellent location. They know that the property is not too large to fill and given the locational advantage (Baker Street tube station is 5min walking distance) they will always get idiots like me who will pay GBP 100 + for a lousy room.

Would still consider this as you do not get too many better options for this price in Central London. But if you do, pls stay away. The hotel staff is not arrogant but has a "you need me, I don't need you" kind of attitude.

Expect a basic room with barely clean toilets. No elevators, cramped corridor. Wodden structure and Road facing so noise levels can be disturbing.

If the idea is to explore London from a central location and use the hotel to just come back late at night and crash then book. Else please use the review and stay away !
