Hotel was in a great location and very central. Staff are friendly and try very hard to be helpful.
We booked a breakfast, dinner and stay package and was dissapointed that no one told us that the restaurant was closed on the second night and we had to eat at the bar or in the club lounge. Wish they told us so we had the option of going else where for dinner or at least gave us the option of changing our booking type. Food was shockingly terrible.. not sure who prepared it but geez it was embarrasing! First night after having arrived late, we ordered room service and was told that only sandwiches were available (which was ok, given UK have good reputation for nice sandwiches). The food arrived in a tray that was uncovered, and the sandwiches were made of stale bread (so we just ate the filling), the hot chips were cooked in dirty oil because it tasted like everyother food that had been fried in the same oil.
Nothing special for a platinum priorty club member apart from the folder for your room key which says 'platinum member'
Club lounge was very small but pleasant enough.
Our room was next to some cupboard or staff door so it was very noisy. We mentioned this at check out and was told 'why didn't you ask for a new room!'

Room Tip: Ask for a new room if you find your room is next to a cupboard.

Dear Stugs123
I am so sorry that you were disappointed with the food you were served by room service when yo arrived late on your first night. We do offer 24 hour room service including hot dishes, so we are trying to investigate who it was that only offered you sandwiches and chips; either way we will remind all our night staff of the full night menu.
I regret that Umami, our Asian retaurant was full on the 2nd night of your stay, but our Lounge menu does also offer a full a la carte selection of dishes , starters, main courses and sweets, with a British bias.
I'm pleased that you found our staff so helpful and do hope you will return again.
Best regards

I stayed for two nights in MArch - the hotel was a in a great location - really easy to get to from Paddington on the tube. Nice walk to the V&A, Harrods etc.
Room was nice decorated, bed comfy and good selection of tea/coffee provided.
Only down fall was that our room was extremnely warm - the AC control said it was at its lowest, the window opened but didnt stay open so it was quite uncomfortable at night.
Apart from this, great stay and would come back

Dear lea_f8
Thank you for your review, I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you will be returning again soon.
I am sorry that we had an issue with the Air Conditioning and that you were not comfortable at night - our engineer is investigating to find out what caused the problem so that we can prevent it again.

Although, on the map, this Hotel looks quite a way out, it couldn't have been more convenient. We'd travelled to London by train and were able to catch the Piccadilly Line Underground train directly from Kings Cross to Gloucester Road, which is just around the corner from the Hotel. We also went to a show in the evening and once again, the underground took us straight to the heart of Theatre Land.
Within a short walk from the Hotel, you can see some lovely buildings and soak up the atmosphere of the 'affluent' area of South Kensington. There are cafes and restaurants near to the Hotel and a Supermarket across the road. Kensington Gardens are within easy walking distance too.
The staff at the Crowne Plaza could not have been more helpful. We were made to feel welcome from the second we walked through the door. The Decor was attractive and everywhere was SPOTLESSLY clean.
Staff were so attentive and friendly over breakfast and there was plenty of choice of things to eat. The whole experience of staying there was brilliant and we left feeling really relaxed, wanting to repeat the experience, if finances ever allow.

Room Tip: We were at the front of the Hotel which overlooked the street but you could hear no noise and it was...

Stayed for a week with friends and absolutely loved this hotel, which features a private garden, a truly unique gem in the busy heart of Kensington. The staff is professional and well trained. I really appreciated the assistance of the Concierge Tony & Karim, and Joanna the front of house manager. Ayo' Will definitely come back!!
