We booked a family room for the weekend to celebrate my granddaughter Emilie's 18th birthday. The room was very spacious the bathroom beautiful and the beds so comfy we didn't want to get up in the mornings. Everything was spotless. The staff extremely friendly and efficient. I was a nice touch that cake and balloons were provided for Emilie. We will definitely stay again and hope to see more of the resident dog on our next visit.

This was my second time staying at the Rosewood and each time has been a delight. The rooms are luxurious, spacious, clean and quiet. The beds are extremely comfortable. The location is brilliant, right beside Holborn station. The real treat is the staff who are friendly and helpful. I spoke to a number of people on reception and they were always happy to help. I believe two of the girls I spoke to were Irish and were extremely helpful (I'm afraid I missed their names!). Little touches made a big difference, for example I left a book and sunglasses on the table when I went out and returned to a Rosewood bookmark and lens cloth! Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope to return soon.

The Rosewood is the former Pearl Assurance HQ, tastefully converted into an oasis of calm on a busy London thoroughfare.

The peace and tranquility begins as your taxi transports your from the busy road outside into courtyard where the first of the Rosewood's fantastic staff is there to greet you.

And that's the Rosewood's secret. It has all the bells and whistles of a luxury London hotel but it's the staff who make the difference. Every single person is charming, friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Many hotels try to emulate this culture but few do it as successfully as the Rosewood - especially when they're city-based.

Don't miss Scarfe's Bar. As you'd expect the drinks are a fortune but the atmosphere on a Saturday night added to a very memorable visit.

Highly recommended.

Pleasant Stay at Rosewood. First time back under new management. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are well appointed. Very quiet and great location in central London. There is a nice bar, restaurant and the breakfast room is beautiful . The sheets and pillows are top notch.

Room Tip: A more functional desk would be better and prefer rooms where you can open the window for fresh air

Holborn is not the first area you think of when you think of luxury hotels in London. But this property, a former insurance company building, is set back in its own beautiful inner courtyard surrounded by chic restaurants and bars. (There's also a rear exit out to an alley or mews where you can walk along the back of Sir John Soane's Museum on Lincoln Inn's Fields.)
The interior of the hotel is equally lovely, and the service is excellent.
My room on the fifth floor was nice but nothing special. There is no mirror (other than a frosted one placed too low to be of use) in front of which to blow dry ones hair - must have been designed by a man!
The bed was too soft, as were the pillows. But the room was well equipped so no real complaints.excellent shower. Terrible window.

Room Tip: Fifth floor windows are small and ugly.

Dear Kim B,

Thank you for your review of Rosewood London. Delighted to read that you enjoyed our service and the beautiful building. In our deluxe room category, the mirror is placed inside the wardrobe closet, which also has a plug for the hair dryer. We are in the process of designing the future room set-up and have certainly learned from the valuable guest feedback such as yours.
We have ways to make the beds firmer for customers who prefer that, and we also have a great selection of foam and other firmer pillow types.

We hope to see you back soon.
