Description: Londons Ottoman Palace, located on the busy Camden High Street, is a gourmet reflection of the very empire which gives it its name. Situated on the dividing line between East and West, the Ottoman Empire gave rise to one of the richest and most exciting periods in history - and almost every aspect of that is celebrated right here in the Ottoman Palace with its lush interior full of atmospheric charm and detail-heavy beauty. Equally, the food youll enjoy in these gorgeous surroundings is a glorious fusion of East and West, beautifully spiced and flavoured, aromatic and colourful, the Ottoman Palace chefs blending mezze style dining with more complex dishes particularly focused on traditional slow cooking.

We thought the food here was really good. The service was a little tardy which may explain some of the other bad recviews but we would definately go again.

We live in Camden and have been to most restaurants. This was our first visit and it will most definitely be our last. The atmosphere was nice except for the football playing in a room at the side. After 10 minutes of being seated and given our menus another couple sat at the table next to ours. They were served by a waitress who promptly took their orders and served them. We were served by a miserable bloke who took ages to do everything. Our starter (a reasonably decent mezze for 2) took a good half hour to arrive. Main was ok but not at all what I was expecting. Then we were not offered a desert menu and had to flag down another waiter in the end to get our bill as our waiter disappeared.

It wasn't cheap either. The wine was nice though.

Returned to this restaurant having been there twice before and expected the same good food etc. Oh dear what's happened?, the standard, qualiity and presentation has dropped. The starters were all pre- multi assembled and bland, the main courses except kebabs that were presumably cooked then and there looked pre prepared.
Everything came with a limp totallty unnecessary "plastic bag" salad.
Bearing in mind the choices in Camden keep walking past this place.

Camden is becoming chic. Enjoy it now before it becomes too pricey.
We went shopping off Baker Street and saw this place opposite Mornington Crescent Tube(Subway) after a brisk walk through Regent's Park. Hungry and needed a stop.
Great value meal.
Service a little confused. Language problem? Not quite the drinks we ordered, but near enough.

Formerly, we read, it was a Vietnamese eaterie (love that generic word) with wonderful dark wooden panels and now new model figures.
Believe us, it all combines to provide a substantive decor.
There is another major dining room beyond the front bar and restaurant.
Good genuine napery which surprised us.

For US guests!-one of the best "bathroom" facility in a NW1 London restaurant.
Highly recommended if you can tear yourself away from theatreland food outlets, outrageously expensive and not very good central London diners.

We enjoyed an excellent mezzeh with starters. Excellent East Mediterranean cuisine.
It's all on the web.
