Booked this hotel in December as I wanted to take my mum to Winter Wonderland Hyde park.
Our room was on the ground floor right next to the gents public toilets, so not a great location to be in. The window was very high up and the curtain rail had broken so the curtains would not shut properly, there must have been an inch gap around the window so could get drafty. The window in the toilet had cracked and was selotaped up. Water kept bubbling up in the bath, hopefully it wasn't coming from the gents toilets next door - and there was no plug. The radiators were on and there was no way of turning them of so you had no control of the room temperature.
However the toilet and the beds were very clean, the breakfast was good and you are literally 5 minutes walk between marble arch station and bond street station.
So it really does depend on what you are looking for, a great location at a reasonable price or pay through the nose for a more expensive hotel.More
