The single room was quite small, but clean, not long time ago renovated, and the bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom. The location is perfect: near everything (Oxford Street shopping, Soho) and the underground is just behind the corner.

There are some negative remarks. The shower made noise when the water was running. On one morning out of three there was no hot water. One day the cleaning was at 3.30, when I had returned from tourist trip and they said, is is not possible to have the cleaning after 4 pm. Thus on that day the room was not cleaned. The maid told, that they are advised to clean those rooms first, where new customers are coming. Thus old customers' rooms are cleaned last. The quite thin mattress was on a wooden bench and thus very hard and slippery. There was no real bed in the room. The tobacco smoke from other rooms came directly to my room and in the night it was nearly impossible to breath, because I had so much smoke in my room. The personnel was sometimes polite, sometimes ignored the customers.

The price was reasonable compared to other hotel prices in London. In spite of the negative points I was happy with the stay.

The main thing is that this hotel is in a great location - the same street as the British Museum and a few minutes walk from Covent Garden with loads of pubs and eateries on the way. Secondly the staff are great - extremely helpful and very friendly.

The only downside is the hotel is a bit old and tired - missing tiles, torn carpets - dubious bedsprings and rooms a bit cramped - but it is spotlessly clean - great shower - plenty of clean fresh towels.

The Location was splendid, but everything else regarding the hotel was poor. The rooms are tiny and dark with a bad smell of mildew. The bathroom wasn't clean enough and there was no attention to details. All in all - nothing to write home about.

i have been to London on several occasions, and I always like to try new hotels. I really enjoyed this one, for the price it has a very nicely decorated room and a lovely bathroom, which sometimes it is not easy to find on small budget hotels in this city.. The location is really good, just about a block and a half from the tube, and the staff was helpful and attentive. The only downside to it was that i paid for the wifi, but then out of four nights, it only worked for two.

People tend to write negative things about this hotel. I have only positive things to say. We were met by a very professionel and nice receptionist from india, who gave us our room 306. A perfect corner room with many windows and great light, that just fitted the three of us. We requested a extra bed since the 'double bed wasnt big enough to fit two people. The bed was delivered without extra charge. The hotel is situated 10 seconds run from the Tottenham Court Road tube station, and you can walk to oxford street within 10 minutes. A perfect location!
Breakfast was included which has just what you want; freshly fried eggs on request, toast cerial in many flavors, juice, fresh tee or coffee, milk.
I am definately staying here the next time I go to London!
