South Ken is a lovely area to wander around even if you take the great attractions out of it. Just a stone's throw from places like the Natural History Museum are quiet, leafy streets with lovely architecture. It is well connected by bus and train.

South Kensington is very popular for touists as it contains three of the best muesums in London (i'd say some of the best in the UK and the world) in the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and the V&A museum. All of which are free as they ask for donations. It's a very affluent area with some fantastic old architecture. This is a place which any tourist would enjoy being in and experiencing.

Started in science museum. Fun lasted 2 hours. I do not recommend the Victoria and Albert museum and the natural history museum unless your child is extra enthusiastic. Walked in walked out. No interactivity in said museums. Far too busy
Shopping has been pointed out in other reviews. Yes there is a nice street of shops. But that is it. No original stores only chain stores you can find in any typical English town.
Beautiful scenery. Don’t plan a trip any longer than a day.

Love South Kensington! We always stay in this area when visiting London! We have been to London 8x now and always enjoy the area. Nice shopping and restaurants, nice area to walk and explore!
