Booked small room to be near British Library. I found location to be very interesting - Euston Road, St.Pancras etc. a few blocks away very busy and great for transportation, but as soon as you get off those streets relative quiet, pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, quirky shops and a nice little new shopping centre a few blocks toward Russell tube stop. The stairs are steep, and I had a room with a shower and sink and bathroom down the hall. There was never anyone in either of the bathroom or shower room down the hall. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and breakfast and staff were both well organized and good. Walking distance from British Museum as well.

Stayed here in November following 4* description on website. This is a guest house in need of modernisation. No lifts, so be prepared for a long haul up narrow staircase if you are above ground floor. Whilst our room was clean, the en-suite shower room was very disappointing - very dated, no heater, poor ventilation. Creaky floorboards in adjoining rooms do nothing to aid sleep. Breakfast (served in a very small room in the basement) was OK but bacon and/or sausage on successive days had not been freshly prepared and tea bags are at a premium!

The location - equidistant from Euston/St Pancras and Russell Square tube - is great as is access to local shops, pubs, museums (British Museum and British Library, etc.).

Stayed overnight on a theatre trip. Had room 7 on the ground floor. Good size room charmingly furnished and very clean. Tiny shower and loo with a sliding door which doesn't quite close so you need to trust the person you're with but reasonably clean. Nice touch was free computer in lovely sitting room. Breakfast served in basement was good. Nice quite location in a London crescent - you can even use the gardens or tennis courts opposite. All in all very good value for a London hotel in a good location (10 mins walk KX or Euston).

i stayed at the crescent hotel from 30/10/2011 to 02/11/2011 in a double room with ensuite bathroom. the hotel is very conveniently located: we arrived at king's cross with the underground, then it took only a few minutes to reach the hotel. it is located in the cartwright gardens, so it's very quite. we had a room at the second floor (there is no lift): it was clean, with a quite confortable bed and a quite large bathroom. the breakfast was very good: they served english breakfast cooked to order and continental breakfast at the buffet. we only had to wait a few minutes to get a table. the underground stop of russel square is 4-5 minute walk. definitly a good choice in london!

This hotel is probably the best value hotel in London. The rooms are clean, quiet and very comfortable. The full English breakfast was well cooked, hot and delicious and there was a good choice of cereals and fruit as well. The staff were helpful and discrete. I have just booked a room again for next year.
