Description: Goodge Street the original home to Spaghetti House, this is where it all started in September 1955. The Lavarini families philosophy has always been to source the best & freshest ingredient & cook to order, for your pleasure and enjoyment. The restaurant is located off Tottenham Court Road (the best place to hunt for home furnishings)in Fitzrovia a bohemian & arty village in central London. The restaurant has grown over the years & is now spread over 4 floors, the ground floor is bustling with the ‘via e vai’ of guests dining, waiters serving & people walking through to the upper floors. An open kitchen allows you to experience the wonderful aromas of our freshly cooked Italian food. In the summer the windows fold back taking the inside out; you'll feel like you're in your own little bit of Italy, in the heart of London. On the 1st floor the atmosphere is more leisurely & relaxed, the 2nd floor is dedicated to a Chefs Kitchen with dining for up to 30 guests and the top floor boasts a fully flexible Private Dining room and events space. “Great food at good prices”
Reviewed 23 February 2011

Small and friendly restaurant just a few minutes walk from Goodge Street station. When we walked up to the outside it looked quite small and dark inside. However, there are quite a few tables upstairs and the lighting was adequate. We went on a Monday evening and it was packed, but luckily we were seated ok. Don’t take for granted that you can get in (like we did) – make sure you book if you want to go. Food was very good as Italian places go. We had taken Tesco vouchers so price was not an issue as such. For a family of three with two starters, three mains and two desserts cost was a little under £60 without drinks. I would go again if I was visiting London.

“Revisting was a huge disappointment”
Reviewed 19 February 2011

Some years ago I used to be a regular here but moved away from London, and this was a nostalgia visit. How very disappointing. The place was so dark I used the mobile phone glow to read the menu, the staff were somewhat indifferent, the food portions small and only just warm. The cheese platter was two slices of bread, three very small pieces of cheese and a teaspoon of honey and the cost...£13.90 was just the final straw. Complaining to the management had no respose whatsoever. I will avoid this place and go to other Italian chains that do give value and consider and value their customers

“Been going there for 35yrs whenever in London. Still going!!!”
Reviewed 1 November 2010

Just had a Wedding Reception dinner as a private function there on the Third Floor. We picked a set menu in advance with the help of their staff. Our party was 25 persons of various origin, a large part French. The help we got was great, nothing too much trouble. Food and service on the day was faultless and made for an easy atmosphere.
Get a Frenchman to compliment Italian cooking and you are doing well !!!!
Great value and quality compared to other venus.
Never disappointed at this Spaghetti House.
Are we going there again? Put money on it!

“Very acceptable italian family meal.”
Reviewed 26 October 2010

Weekend in London, staying close by. Never tried a Spaghetti House before so decided to give it a try.
Our waiter was very attentive and just about right. The food was good especially the spaghetti aglio olio, which we almost all had as a primi. House wine really nice and reasonably priced for the area. We finished with the amaretto ice cream which was delicious!
All in all we had no complaints at all and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you!

“Food is number one !”
Reviewed 17 May 2010

We were going to the Dominion Theatre so chose this restaurant as it was close by and we love Spaghetti House.

It's smaller than some of the others so the atmosphere wasn't quite the same but the staff were incredible and very attentive.

The food is always top notch and it was the first time my children ate up everything in a restaurant !

It's not exactly the cheapest place to eat but the quality makes up for it.
