Description: Savina Mexican Restaurant and Cantina is a stylish eatery on Duke Street in Liverpool with a bustling, vibrant atmosphere and delicious Mexican food. With wooden floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and dark wooden furniture, the dining room has a warm, cosy ambience and is frequented by a fashionable local crowd. We recommend the Pescados de Chipotle – prawns and scallops cooked in white wine, chilli, lemon, coriander and chillies served with warm tortillas; the Nachos Supreme topped with spicy chicken, cheese and pico de gallo, topped with soured cream and guacamole; and the Pescados Especial Fajitas – king prawns, mussels and scallops with onions, mushrooms and peppers. Savina boasts a cosmopolitan cocktail bar with red leather sofas for pre/post dinner drinks.

visited on a Saturday evening to celebrate turning 30, i'd have to say the experience was ok, I'd probably not return as the service was a little up and down.

some of the party had to wait up to an hour for a drink, but in all fairness the manager took some of the drinks off the final bill to compensate.

the food was nice, not amazing but tasty all the same, unfortunately I'd have to say you could get the same quality of food and wow factor at a chain Mexican like chiquitos.

all in all an ok experience, but our group all enjoyed themselves

Ate here quite early on a Friday night and we were the first in after opening. The restaurant decor and layout is very nice with a modern feel but retains a degree of character.

We had the two course early bird for £12.95 each starting with the taquito and the mushrooms with both dishes tasting delicious. We then moved on to the enchiladas and the fajitas which again were very good.

The food and service was of a high quality although we did find something lacking. We can't quite put our finger on it, whether it be the mood we were in or the restaurant itself. We have enjoyed mexican dining before but couldn't quite bring ourselves to rate this higher than 4 out of 5.

Visited this restaurant with a friend on 9th Feb.

I should start off by saying I am hard to impress !
The staff were very helpful and quick to bring us drinks. The food is very reasonably priced, They have a deal on before 7pm, we were too late for that so we just ordered off the menu.

The good was quick to arrive, and was beautifully presented. It tasted delicious. I had no complaints at all about the food or service.

It really is hard to find something wrong with this place, my only criticism is that its really really dark in there. We were seated by the window and we could barely see what we were doing.
