We stayed for a few nights while visiting family - the first time we've stayed in the Woolton area. The cottage is well renovated, comfy and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept like logs.
Absolutely central for the Beatles "pilgramage", although that's not why we chose the place. Woolton village is exactly that, small rows of shops, boutiques, cafes and tea rooms, like something from the fifties. It felt very safe and was surprisingly quiet, despite being close to the main road into the city centre.
Top tip - park at Liverpool South Parkway for free parking and cheap day tickets on the train. you need to get there by 10am, but it's so easy and cheaper than parking in the city.
