Really enjoyed our stay here - it was secure, comfortable and ideally located close to the centre. Staff attentive and friendly, and the clever little in-room kitchen area was a revelation - every hotel should have one!

Room Tip: We were at the front of the hotel, 1st floor, right above the street so I was a little worried about noise but no need - very well soundproofed and not an issue at all.

I suppose this hotel doesn't need yet another 5 star review but having enjoyed such a brilliant night's sleep there I had to add yet another recomendation.

In terms of decor, this place is tastefully decorated with a modern look that incorporates some traditional features of the original building such as wood beams and original brick work. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and incredibly clean. The bed was fantasically comfortably and our room had adjustable air con.

The location is excellent. You're definitely in the trendy side of town with lots of cool bars around but the city centre and Liverpool one are also a stones throw away. The roomcame with a small kitchenette area cleverly incorporated into the sliding cupboard. This really saves space and gives the room a really big feel. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.

All in all,the place shows what budget hotels can (and really should) be. I noticed a premier inn at the end ofthe street, you'd be mad to book there when such a stylish, interesting and cheaper option is available a few blocks up.

Room Tip: A tip for visitors, make sure you get two keys if there are two of you. Me and my wife only had one and you need a key to get literally anywhere in the hotel (it's very secure!)

Stayed here on honeymoon, and we loved it. It's got everything you'd ever need in a hotel room, and although the rooms aren't massive, they're really comfortable and so well thought out. The staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is very sleek and modern, without being pretentious or intimidating. We would definitely stay here again.

I agree with other positive reviews, a great base to stay but definitely not a hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful and it is an excellent location but my double room was very small and the windows do not open which I found very claustrophobic as did my partner. Surely it would be more economical to open the window instead of turning on the air con constantly? I heard its something to do with the insurance but very uncomfortable all the same.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the larger double rooms are as the one I was in was tiny.Windows do not open in any room.

Dear Siobhan M,

Thank you for your positive review, it's great to read that our staff made such a good impression. Cleanliness and good service are two things that we always strive for.

The excellent location that you mentioned is also sadly the reason why we cannot have windows that open - it's simply a case of local planning laws unfortunately. In order to make the best of this we have triple glazed our windows to give ultimate noise reduction and installed an air conditioning solution that can be adjusted in the room by the guest to suit their individual needs.

Kind regards
