Follow the hotel's navigational instructions to the letter (Lincoln seems to be the one way street capital of Europe) and you will find it OK, just don't be alarmed by the steep, cobbled and narrow streets. The hotel is set about 200 yards from the hilltop and the cathedral. Public car park down the hill, so try and drop your suitcase off at the hotel and collect your parking concession ticket before parking the car. Rooftop room was accessed by an external flight of stairs. Room itself was of adequate size, well equipped, immaculate in presentation and cosy. Lovely cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful and considerate (and understanding when I accidentally pushed over my full coffee cup at breakfast).

Room Tip: All 6 rooftop rooms appear to be the same size and orientation.

As a party of 6 we had three rooms and we were all agreed that it was a great stay. The hotel is conveniently situated and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The delicious breakfasts were cooked to order, so much better than breakfast buffets on offer elsewhere. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and so helpful with tips for restaurants etc. we would all stay again.

We stayed in the Sunflower room which although it had no windows through which you could see it was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast lovely staff very pleasant. would recommend roof top suite. Central location near Cathedral and old quarter. Public car park short walk up steep hill

We phoned ahead for a late check-in (10:30pm), and the staff helpfully ran us through what we should do when we arrived and how to check-in securely. By booking our parking with the hotel, we were easily able to park at a number of locations relatively near to the accommodation (2-3 minutes walk). We stayed in one of the rooftop rooms, which was extremely clean and well laid out, with a sofa to relax on. The bathroom had a rainfall shower, and was quite spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was no noise to disturb our sleep. Breakfast was between 8-10am which suited us well. We had the vegetarian breakfast which was well prepared and tasty. The staff were all super friendly, and I felt that they would help us where needed to create a welcoming environment (e.g. parking, check-in, suggesting attractions/restaurants, early breakfast etc.). The hotel sits on Steep Hill, but is down from the cathedral and castle - which we thought was a perfect location for us. It's a couple of minutes from the best attractions in Lincoln, including those just mentioned and the Usher Gallery just down the road. We have stayed here twice now, and the hotel and staff have delivered on both occasions - its good value, central, stylish, clean, comfy, friendly - everything you want. We will be back!

Lovely boutique hotel situated close to main attractions - Cathedral, Castle and shops. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Mini fridge nice touch (fresh milk). We had a roof top room (double) which was lovely and quite and had an outside seating area which thanks to a rare day of sunshine in March we made use of. Staff very friendly and helpful - both in lead up to stay and during. Cafe downstairs (open to public) serves great drinks and cake and has outdoor seating. Hotel guests take breakfast there which was plentiful and cooked fresh. If you have mobility issues, worth bearing in mind that hotel is situated on Lincoln's 'Steep Hill' which lives up to its name! Not sure if this only on specific dates, but the open top bus tour of Lincoln was free on the Sunday we visited. Had excellent Sunday carvery at the Stags Head - a 10/15 walk from hotel.

Room Tip: Roof top rooms have outdoor seating.
