we went there to visit some cousins... me, my partner and 2 children.
we called up 2 days before our arrival to ask if there was any more rooms available.
we had booked on line so when my partner called she was contended with a rude woman saying no dear no one else can come, we usually only do 2 night stays!!
i called the next day to ask if there was a dvd player in the room as it didnt state on the site and we had two 8 yr olds to entertain.. they said no...why do you want to watch a dvd!!
went on the night and my cousin came through the door to dry off from the pleasure beach.. we got told she coldnt come in and when i said that was rediculous it kicked off!!
swearing from ruth.. woldnt give us a refund and they said we pestered with phone calls!!
it was 2 in 2 days... and even if it was 4 in one hour we were paying guests.. not an inconvenience! ruth told us she knew where we lived and she was calling her daughter!
micheal said he was calling the police so we asked him to seeing as they turned psycho and we had swore not at all.. this was 9.30 Pm with two kids in towe.. police came out and no cctv was working that day !!! as per! they demanded us a refund and we had to hunt till 10.30pm to find a lovey chinese woman and wingham inn who took us in... horrible people. horribole guest house. feel free to mention this review.. we were absolutely disgusted with them and i have to say how me and my partner kept our language clean or our hands of their neck was a miracle!!!
do not go there..!!!

Room Tip: rooms were dated... smelt damp and no loo roll!

After a long drive we were greated in a warm friendly manner, which made us feel welcome as a family. Michael was nice enough to tell us about the secur parking.
Michael showed us to are room that was okay! (nothing like the pictures though, although there were vacant rooms, as just only two elderly women were staying also).
as the weather change horribly and was cold, I ask michael if the heating could be turned on as iam Anaemic. Michael was kind enough to do so, over our three night stay the weather stay cold and wet, and so did Michael, he chased my children husband and I, out the rooms for cleaning the rooms 10am, even though we could have done it ourselves, changing the little bins. Then putting on the heater became a problem although its advertised on the Westfield lodge site! cut backs we were told, but iam anaemic an get cold quickly!

Room Tip: Room service is nothing like change sheets, freshen room or anything. Its a bin change which you cou...

We pre booked on the internet after reading the reviews and were over the moon with our choice . Stopped at the westfield for two nights and upon arrival the whole family were made very welcome . Then we were shown around the facillities of the hotel and our room which was a family room for 4 of us . The room was very clean and fresh and had excellent facillities for the price , but what really made our stay special was the friendliness of the owners Micheal and Joyce , and also must mention the attention to detail and service at breakfast was excellent as well and made to order for the two kids who unusually cleared their plates ! , lovelly visit and would definatley use again or recommend others to visit , thanks steve logan and family.

Room Tip: very clean room with excelent facilities for the price , recommended ! .

We went to Blackpool with other members of our family, there were 5 adults & 3 girls aged 12,14 & 16.We were met at the door of the hotel by Joyce & Michael who were very friendly. They made us feel very welcome straight away and after unloading our luggage directed us to the secure parking. (When we booked the hotel we did not see anywhere on the instructions that you were meant to book your parking place in advance and that it would cost £8.50, this did not cause a problem but it would have been good to know beforehand). We had a family room & 2 doubles all were comfortable and clean with good showers in the en-suites. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it.
The hotel was within walking distance of the Pleasure beach, Ripleys & the South Pier. The tram stop was at the end of the road to get to Tussauds and the Tower although it is also within reasonable walking distance. Houndshill shopping centre behind the Tower is also worth a visit.
We would recommend JKs Steakhouse in Birley Street to get great food, cooked to order and with great service from friendly waiting staff.
We all enjoyed our 2day visit to Blackpool & it was made all the more enjoyable by the friendly relaxed atmosphere at the Westfield Hotel.
