The lady who dealt with us was extremely polite and helpful. We were placed in a room next to the bar, which was fine on the Thursday night, but ruined our Friday and Saturday as the noise was unbearable until 3 or 4am. Despite being given 5 different wifi login details, none of them had a signal in our room. We had to use our own modem and purchase data. The TV provided was tiny and placed high up in a corner. We had no remote for it and despite requesting one, we were not given one for all of our stay. We had a lovely view of a brick wall from the window. At one point whilst I was having a shower, a male member of staff knocked on the door and angrily shouted 'Are you in the shower?' I replied that I was and he shouted 'You need to close the shower doors properly-it is leaking downstairs' and stormed off. (The maintenance of the bathroom was so poor that the doors would not close properly without excess force)
Be aware that there is no car park for this hotel. We were offered a space for £10 a night which we had no choice but to accept. When checking in we were told we would have to pay the weekend surcharge, which we knew was £10pn as per the terms and conditions of the voucher we had. They insisted that it 'should' say £10pppn and we had no choice but to pay. They then insisted it had to be cash. We didn't have cash so she agreed to let us use the card 'as a one off'. She took my card away and brought back a receipt. No signature, pin number or anything was asked for! This did worry me, especially as the receipt had a different hotel name on.

My friend and I stayed here for 3days our room was lovely the full English breakfast was very good but most of all the staff were fantastic Shaun and Lucy made us feel special so I would recommend this hotel we will be going back there Wendy and Karen

We stayed at The Melville Hotel last week. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the town centre next to The Winter Gardens and close to the shopping centre, the Tower and tourist attractions such as Madame Tussauds & Sea Life Centre.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The room was en-suite, very clean and spacious.
We booked for bed & breakfast and the hotel offered Continental and Full English. The food was delicious.
We have already booked our next stay. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Will definitely be recommending to all our family & friends.

Room Tip: Any special requests just call the hotel directly, they are more than happy to help.

Hotel was in a great location , the staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is basically what you pay for...cheap & cheerful. The breakfast was nice and the prices in the bar were cheap. The bedroom we were in was clean enough although there was a bit of a stinky smell when we first entered the room but after a while it disappeared. All in all a good long weekend although I'm not sure I would return in a hurry.

worst hotel I've ever stayed. Came here last minute deal for the national Jesus Christ had I known how bad this place was I'd have brought a tent. No hot water in the shower as we were on the top floor. Needed antihistamines for the dust. Skid marks on the toilet from the previous guests. Place rotten of sewerage. Mattresses like sacks of old springs and rooms you couldn't swing a cat in.

To be fair the staff are all really nice and friendly and helpful had we been able to have warm showers would not have been so bad.

1st time in Blackpool whole town needs a good coat of napalm

We had a problem with a burst pipe (we didn't know at the time) and I am sorry you missed out on a hot shower, if you had raised your concerns with our staff, they will always do their upmost to rectify a situation.

It is a pleasure to announce that we will be implementing upgrades to the property over the next couple of months to ensure all our guest really enjoy staying with us.
