Decided to try somewhere else for a change, and thought I'd give the Imperial a try as it had been recommended by a few people.
It's an imposing, impressive building and certainly looks the part from the outside, and once indoors I was quickly checked in (though Hotels.com had messed up my booking again, as per usual, but that's just an aside) and made my way to my room - a deluxe room with a sea view on the second floor.
The room itself was very nice, and a welcome note from the maid was a nice little touch. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large, clean and airy, and I had a good nights sleep. It could possibly do with a little bit of retouching here and there, but that's just a minor gripe.
I've saved the best for last though; the breakfast is absolutely outstanding, and they even do fried bread!
Sorry, forgot to mention one last thing - HAVING TO PAY FOR PARKING!!!!!!More
