I have now stayed at this guest house several times, with my family. I echo all the other EXCELLENT reviews regarding location etc, but have to add extra about the hosts.. There is no doubt Tara and Mark go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, and to ensure your stay in Blackpool is as good as it can be... We went out of season, so parts of the town were closed down... That didn't matter..!! We had two FAB nights in the hotel, ( we had our two young kids with us this time) and Tara and Mark were spot on with their recommendation on where to eat out..!!

The view of Blackpool Tower all lit up from our bedroom window, is awesome, and all other amenities and popular town centre venues are so close..!!

I have noticed a couple of insultingly bad reviews about the New Chelvedon, but from my experience, and the previous 5 years or more of great reviews, it is quite clear these are malicious....

Thoroughly recommended.... !!! Enjoy...

Tara and Mark make our trips to Blackpool special every time . The kids loved the New York themed room, and breakfast was lovely as usual . Location close to all the big attractions help with little legs . The room was spotless as usual and beds l could sleep forever in .

Room Tip: Front rooms are Tower view rooms

We stayed in the tropical room at the top of the hotel and it was lovely, spacious and extremely clean with everything you could need. The only thing which wasn't up to scratch was the bathroom, although it was clean it was a bit dated but we were reassured that all the bathrooms were in line for a refurb. The owner and her partner were the most welcoming hosts and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked through the door. Nothing was too much trouble for them, by the first night we felt as though we had known them forever. The breakfast was superb, a massive choice of cereal, fresh orange juice, tea, coffee and as much toast as you could eat plus a full English breakfast cooked fresh to order. would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be in the centre of everything. plus a beautiful view of the tower lit up in all its glory. who could ask for more?

Shower was broke so was unable to have a shower cos it was that hot I scalded myself. the beds were not changed all week. the owners partner is abusive and nasty. I fell down the stairs and all he said was I wondered wot that bump was. The rooms are full of cat hair the toilet was filthy. No offence to tara it was the cleaners tara is a lovely woman. The cats were always fighting outside our rooms. Even had money stolen out of our room so had to leave early and never got a rebate. The breakfasts were really nice but other than that I would not stay there again
