We called here whilst completing the Beatrix Potter Easter Egg Hunt. It was an absolute delight, we sampled the tea and Cherry Bakewell cake, which was moist and delicious. We purchased Earl Grey tea in a very cute tea caddy, Easter lollipops and the children had various soft drinks. This was cheap and cheerful with a nice, clean seating area, friendly staff and clean toilets. We even registered for Booths cards and will most certainly come again. The only problem was a slight smell coming from a Haddock Chowder on the menu.

We called in here for a bite to eat - have to say that the service was extremely slow. Only one family in front of us, yet it took two members of staff to serve them, and it took a while before we were served (we were ignored for a little while). The only reason I have given this restaurant an average score was that the food (cakes) and drinks were ok (coffee very good according to my hubby) and the tables were being regularly cleared & cleaned. This cafe could be a lot better!

If you are on a Lake District visit and are getting down at Windermere and need to pick up all basic stuff this is the best place. Though Windermere has a Sainsbury which is open till 11 pm This option has all you need.

We have used Booths several times as we are avid visitors to the Lakes. We always use holiday rentals so being self catering we need the local supermarkets. We visited Booths twice once at the start of the week and another Mid week to stock up on essentials. BOTH times we visited we were very disappointed with the Veg section as the veg such as peppers were soft and bruised and in the onions again soft and 1 was furry! My wife even noticed brown mince instead of being fresh and pink in colour. Let down to say the least.

An independent supermarket with an old fashioned (in a good way) approach to retailing. The cafe is bright and airy with a good range of food. Hot chocolates were lovely and the lady behind the counter friendly and attentive even though the till was playing up! Would happily visit again.
