My husband and I chose The Samling to celebrate his 'special' birthday with a group of 5 friends. We stayed for 2 nights (Tethera, Tyan, Yan & Barker Brow).
Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with a great choice.
For my husband's birthday we chose to dine in the restaurant and we all had the 7 course taster menu, which was exquisite and professionally served by our waiter, Alistair. At the end of our meal, the Head Chef, Nick Edgar, also took the trouble to pop out of his busy kitchen to wish my husband a happy birthday, which was a lovely gesture.
The location, accommodation, food and service were superb throughout our stay. Every member of staff carried out their duties in a professional yet friendly and relaxed manner and made us feel extremely welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and look forward to seeing the completion of their new restaurant.
