Description: If you want views while you dine you have certainly got them at Burlington's Restaurant in Windermere. Part of the impressive Beech Hill Hotel, set in to the Eastern bank of Lake Windermere with incredible views to the Cumbrian Fells, Burlington's is traditionally appointed with tartan carpet, imposing fireplace and crisp white table linen not to mention those picture windows which make a visit here worthwhile before you have even peeked at the menu. The kitchen freshly prepares a fusion of French and British gourmet dishes using the incredibly flavourful produce brought in from local farmland and offers two & three course Simple Flavours menu or the all out five course Gourmet menu.

We were guests of Beech Hill Hotel and ate a 5 course gourmet meal on our first night. Each course was presented beautifully, had a good portion size and tasted brilliant. I went for the pork cheek to start and sea bass as the main and thought were both were excellent.

The canapés were a very nice touch and were brought to us while we waited in the bar.

We had breakfast every day which provided a good range for a full English as well as some croissants, Danish pastries and cereal.

The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend a visit.

We were staying at the Beech Hill Hotel and decided to head to the nearby restaurant in hotel.

We had booked a table and let the staff member know, who told us to relax in the lounge area. While we waited a waiter asked us for our drink order. When he came back with our drinks, he provided us with some appetizers and exoalined what wach were. Nice touch and were good with our drinks.

Another staff member came over to provide us with the wine and food menus to ponder over. He came back after awhile to take our orders. I liked this idea of being able to relax, order our food before being seated to put table.

After awhile a staff member told us our table was ready. He grabbed our drinks and took us to our table with them. He even asked if we required water, which again was a nice touch.

The waiting times for food were good and the food didn't disappoint. All beautifully presented and tasted amazing.

It is a bit pricey but worth it for the quality of the food and the top class service.

We're staying at the hotel which I will review separately.

Great choice of dishes beautifully prepared and presented. Can recommend the lamb rump and the creme brûlée. They do a nice Pinot Grigio rose too!

Staff are very friendly and so attentive.

A great experience from start to finish!
