Our first visit to The Lake District, and we chose KESWICK and Ash Tree House.
So glad we did.
Peter and Janet are excellent hosts, very nice, accommodating, thoughtful and ready to help at all times, but also give you the space and freedom to enjoy their house.
We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the garden.
The house is very well maintained, nicely decorated, the toiletries are locally made, the towels nice and fluffy, and the bed is very comfortable.
There is fresh tea and lovely cakes in the room on arrival, and they appear again every day
Breakfast was very ample, well cooked and very tasty.
There is a weather forecast report printed for visitors every morning, especially for walks and hikers.
Peter and Janet were able to give excellent recommendations every day for places to visit.
We walked the Railway path within an hour of arrival.
Castlerigg is quite close by, and in easy walking distance.
Drives around The Lake District are quite enjoyable, so much to see, especially with Peter and Janet's guidance.
Sadly, our time there was too short.
This is a fantastic place to stay in KESWICK, and tour The Lakes District.
We plan to return.More
