Janet and Peter were perfect hosts. The b&b is only a mile from the centre of town which means it is close enough to walk but far enough away for tranquillity. Delicious breakfasts and a warm comfortable bed. Thanks again for your superb hospitality.

Peter & Janet are very lovely hosts and made us feel most welcome! The double room we stayed in was lovely, with ample wardrobe and drawer space, delicious cake, coffee and tea facilities, super views from the window and locally souced toiletries (The peppermint foot lotion for walkers was lovely). The breakfast was impeccable and the freshly made bread was a delicious addition! As an added treat we got to see our first red squirrel in their large tree in their beautiful garden which we named Rusty! Would definately stay again! x

I totally recommend Ash Tree House to anyone planning a visit to Keswick. The house is lovely, the room (we stayed in the double room) is very nicely decorated, the bed is very comfortable, the towels very fluffy, the toiletries are locally made and there is fresh tea and (yummy) cakes in the room every day. Breakfast was delicious, abundant and made to order. There is a weather forecast report printed for visitors every morning and a lot of information on Keswick, the Lakes and possible walks and hikes available.
The house is really close to some very nice attractions, such as Castlerigg and the Railway path, and a 15-minute walk away from the centre of town.
Last but not least, Janet and Peter are very nice, solicitous, thoughtful and always ready to help: Peter even gave us a lift into town one morning and Janet was very attentive and helpful all throughout the booking process, during our stay (looking after us all the time) and up to the very last moment when our return bus didn't show up.
The perfect place to stay in Keswick!
