I must thank proprietors of this cottage. It had everything I needed. I travelled alone for photography purposes and stayed for 10nights. The area of Braithwaite is just a delight and so close to Keswick too. Just walking distances from the cottage there 3 places to eat or drink maybe both, a small local shop. There are neighbouring cottages and everyone I met were very friendly. I don’t generally sleep well in different places but here I managed to get a good nights sleep even considering the heatwave in the UK at the time of travel. You are essentially on the A66 towards Keswick, Ullswater etc, almost on top of Newlands Pass which takes you down to Buttermere and Crummock water. One day I managed to walk the entire Coledale Horseshoe without moving my car from the cottage. Bus stops are close by if you feel you would like to just sit back a let someone do the driving. All in all I had a pleasureable stay at Cottage 9 and am contemplating booking it for later this year. Beautiful part of the country and world in the Lakes.
Lovely upstairs flat - exceptionally spacious for two people and beautifully fitted out. We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer!
What an amazing little apartment. Lovely and cosy, yet containing absolutely everything you could ever need.
The large bedroom with a super sized comfy bed was just what was needed after long walks and mountain climbs. The nice spacious power shower was equally as welcoming!
The mews are situated in the gorgeous village of Braithwaite; on the doorstep of Keswick yet tucked out of the way and nice and quiet. The village shop is literally (!) a stones throw away which sells fresh bread and croissants every morning.
There are three pubs- two very dog friendly and the other (the best one!) dog friendly but not during eating times.
Thank you Lorraine for a wonderful stay and beautiful location. One on our 'revisit' list!
We stayed for 2 nights in cottage 9 upstairs. The cottage is lovely and homely, it is very clean has a lovely big bed and a nice bathroom with a good shower. It has central heating which is lovely when you have been out walking all day. It is in a quiet village called Braithwaite. The views from ths cottage are lovely and there are plenty of walking trails just on the doorstep. Lorraine was lovely and came to check if everything was alright for us during our stay. We took our dog with us, he was allowed in the pubs and shops surrounding the cottage. Keswick a lovely town is a 2 mile walk away from the cottage. We have only just returned home and will be looking at booking again to stay in this beautiful cottage as it is in a perfect location.
Me and my partner Leanne and dog enjoyed our stay
Want to say a big thank you cottage was lovely and in a great location and dog friendly we will be definitely coming back so we will be booking again in future
Cottage had no faults for me plenty of walks around the cottage
